FlyNamibia’s Maun, Vic Falls routes ready for take-off
News in short
FlyNamibia is on track to launch scheduled air services to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and Maun, Botswana, in April and July respectively.
This according to CEO Andre Compion, who said the routes would accommodate high-season travellers from April to November.
“It took quite some time to get the approvals and arrangements in place. Victoria Falls will start on 4 April - it’s a seasonal route, and we will fly it on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. We will fly that route until November, and we will repeat that annually during the high season,” he said.
“Maun will start on 3 July and we will fly the route until the end of October, and that will be done on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.”
FlyNamibia is positive about the new travel season, Compion added.
“We are very excited about the season lying ahead, one can already see it in the tourism industry - the forward bookings are better than expected in many years, and obviously those tourists coming into the country, many fly... The season will equally be positive for the airline industry.”
