Ultimate Safaris will, on Monday, 3 June, hand over dividends generated from 2 255 shares, worth N$4 million, to their long-serving employees and shareholders in the newly formed Ultimate Safaris Tribe Trust.

The handover will be officiated at one of Ultimate Safaris’ tourist destinations, Galton House Urban Retreat in Eros, headed by Ultimate Safaris’ chief executive officer, Tristan Cowley.

Career ladders

In a statement issued earlier this week, the company said that among the four long-serving employees rewarded shares in 2022 by Ultimate Safaris was Francis Vries, who joined the company in 2008. Vries has held the roles of sales consulting, reservationist and administration at Ultimate Safaris’ head office in Windhoek. She is now the administration and debtors manager.

Another employee who was also rewarded with shares is Alfons Kaura, who joined the company in 2012 at the head office. Kaura worked his way up from a junior to an intermediate employee and then to a senior consultant. He is now the sales manager.

Tobias Naholo started as a night porter at Galton House in Windhoek in 2012. He has since held various roles at Galton House and other camps of Ultimate Safaris, such as //Huab Under Canvas and Camp Doros, situated in Damaraland. He is now the head chef at Camp Doros and the assistant camp captain.

Affectionately known as Angie, Adeline Mulonga joined Ultimate Safaris as a housekeeper in 2011 at Galton House. She has worked her way up to become a housekeeping trainer, travelling to Ultimate Safaris' various properties to train housekeepers. She is now the head housekeeper.
