Tourism Expo 2024 truly goes beyond borders
Thousands of visitors enjoy annual expo
The just-concluded 25th annual Tourism Expo has marked a new milestone with its successful evolution from a Namibian event to a regional one.
Last Friday marked the conclusion of the 25th annual Tourism Expo. The expo's success was measured by the fact that it has now fully transcended from being solely a Namibian Tourism Expo to becoming a regional event. Particularly, the KAZA Park countries – Angola, Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe – are now involved in some capacity, whether through stands, contributions to the seminars or both.
A host of South African stands, as well as those from Malaysia and Indonesia, were also present. The Tourism Expo was held at the Windhoek Country Club Resort from 24 to 26 April and recorded 5 142 visitors, representing a growth of 20% compared to 2023. The People’s Choice Stand of the Year was 'Urban Massage Concept' (https://q.my.na/3965), while Tourismus Namibia (https://q.my.na/JQBK) chose the exhibition stand of the Botswana High Commission as its Stand of the Year.
