More regional netball league action

Erongo Regional Netball League action continued at the Kuisebmond stadium in Walvis Bay, with Kuiseb United taking the points against Sorento Bux, which failed to pitch for the first match scheduled. Meanwhile, Swakop Netball Club defeated Sparta United with an impressive 48-27 in the second match.

Swakop established a 12-8 lead in the first quarter of play against Sparta, with goal attacker Monica Neti and goal shooter Grace Garises leading upfront. Swakop continued with well-coordinated attacks and pocketed the second quarter with 20-16.

Sparta tried to apply some pressure on Swakop in the third quarter. Swakop had other plans however and pocketed the third quarter with 31 – 21. Swakop continued their fine attacking form in the fourth quarter and clinched the match 48 – 27.

Swakop Netball Club team captain Cran-Chrisha Gaoses said it was a tough but enjoyable game. "We wanted to win with a 50 point score margin, but we only managed to get 48," she said.

In the final match of the day, Maxuilili Netball Club emerged victorious against Phoenix Netball Club 1. Maxilili established a 7-1 lead in the first quarter of play and clinched the second quarter of play with 17-3.

Maxilili maintained their momentum and won the match 27-12.
