Masilingi in action on Saturday
The Simbine Curro Classic Shoot-Out race will be epic this weekend with Namibian track and field star Beatrice Masilingi featuring in the 300m women’s event.
Masilingi, who trains out of Newton Sports Agency, is set to go up against the likes of South Africa’s top 400m sprinter and African Champion, Miranda Coetzee, and Norwegian international, Line Kloster.
The men’s 300m will also bring a mammoth head-to-head with World under-20 (u-20) 100m record holder, Tebogo Letsile taking on the World u-20 Championships 400m gold medallist, Lythe Pillay.
Action
Other races over the weekend will also see the likes of defending champion Edmund Du Plessis going up against last year’s 1000m defending champion, Jabolane Ncamane, in the men’s race.
In the women’s race, defending champion Simonay Weitsz is ready to retain her title in the 1000m.
The event will be hosted by the Curro Podium Schools at Pilditch Stadium in Pretoria.
