Civics football club officially changes name to Bucks Buccaneers

The Namibia Football Association (NFA) is pleased to announce that Civics Football Club has officially changed its name to Bucks Buccaneers, effective immediately.
This follows the successful completion of an ownership transition and subsequent approval by the NFA and the Confederation of African Football
(CAF). Civics Football Club recently entered into negotiations regarding new ownership.
Following the NFA's review and approval of the ownership change, in accordance with NFA Statutes, the new owners submitted an application for a name change. The NFA, after consultation with CAF, has received positive confirmation regarding this request.
The NFA congratulates the new owners of Bucks Buccaneers and welcome them to the Namibia Premier League. The Association also wishes its officials, players, and supporters all the best in this new chapter.
The NFA recognizes and appreciates the history and legacy of Civics Football Club within Namibian football. We look forward to the continued success and development of the club under its new identity as Bucks Buccaneers.
