Die NUST-manspan is gereed vir die Universiteitsport Suid-Afrika (USSA)-hokkietoernooi, waar hulle van Maandag tot Vrydag, 1-5 Julie, in Johannesburg in die C-afdeling sal meeding.

Hoofafrigter Fenestha Pienaar is vol vertroue in haar span se gereedheid.

“Ons span het sedert vroeg in April hard gewerk en hulle is reg om mee te ding. Ons het gefokus om vinnige spelers te kies, aangesien tegniek en vaardigheid baie belangrik is in sulke kompetisies,” het Pienaar gesê.

NUST neem al sewe jaar aan die USSA-hokkietoernooi deel, met hul beste uitslag 'n derde plek.

Spankaptein Nelson Ekandjo glo in die span se potensiaal. “Ons het verbeter sedert verlede jaar. 'n Paar nuwe spelers met ervaring is by die groep gevoeg. Ons doelwit is om te wen en vir die B-afdeling te kwalifiseer,” het Ekandjo verklaar.

Met deeglike voorbereiding en 'n vasberade ingesteldheid is die NUST-manspan gereed om 'n beduidende impak op vanjaar se USSA-hokkietoernooi te maak.
