High-profile fighters added on stacked card

The MTC Nestor Sunshine Tobias Promotions’ Independence boxing event slated for 27 April at the Ramatex complex in Otjomuise has been boosted by the announcement additional high-profile fighters on the card.
The event iheadlined by super bantamweights Fillipus Energy Nghitumbwa and Dekang Wang of China facing off in a WBO international title fight already promises to provide fierce boxing , while the names of Jeremiah Nakathila and Matheus Heita were added to the already stacked undercard.
“This is going to be a good one, because we will have a total of 11 fights,” promoter Nestor Tobias said.
“We have added even more top boxers from our stable on the card as well as some legends.
“The fans should come in their numbers to witness this important night as we honour our late president Hage Geingob.”
Nakathila will battle Evans Husayihwevhu of Zimbabwe (17 wins, 2 losses on points, 9 knockouts) in an international lightweight title bout over 12 rounds.
Up-and-coming, unbeaten prospect Matheus Heita (10-0, 6 knockouts) will trade leather with former world-class contender Immanuel “Prince” Naidjala, coming out of retirement at age 39.
Naidjala (23-6, 13 KOs) was a WBO African champion who lost a world title fight against Tomoki Kameda of Japan in Osaka in 2013. After being inactive since February 2018, Naidjala stepped back in the ring last month in Dar es Salaam, fighting the scheduled eight rounds against Nasibu Ramadhani (an opponent he had beaten in 2015 in Windhoek) before being declared the loser by unanimous decision.
Paulinus Njolonimus, the dangerous unbeaten super middleweight, will feature as the main supporting bout. He will clash with Clever Sithole of Zimbabwe over 10 rounds.
Pieter Kotze and Fillipus Shikongo will square off in a light heavyweight bout over three rounds.

Nakathila, Nghitumbwa, Kotze and Ndjolonimus all declared that they are ready and in great shape for the big fight night.
The undercard will also see Paulus Amavila fighting against Joseph Abel, while Fredrick Nghutenanye is pitted against David Johannes in a featherweight fight.
Linekela Nghifindaka battles Shifiona Tomas for the national featherweight title, while Nestor Thomas and Paulus Shonena face off for the national bantamweigtht belt.
Emmanuel Mungandjela is set to fight Limbani Masamba of Malawi in an international welterweight fight.
The bonanza will also see female boxers in action, with the names still to be revealed.
Tobias also used yesterday’s press conference to announce that Marigold Hotel has joined as a sponsor for this event.
Marigold Hotel will assist the academy with accommodation and meals worth N$56 000 for the officials and boxers fighting on the night.
Tobias said the Chinese challenger for the main bout is set to arrive 11 days before the fight.
