Capricorn schools netball continues

The Capricorn Group Schools Netball League returns this weekend.
Following top-tier netball thus far in the Capricorn Group Schools Netball league, the Windhoek High School courts will host the next round of matches this weekend, after taking a break of nearly a month.
Last year’s silver medallists in the U19 category, A. Shipena Secondary School are expected to take on a number of opponents including Tsumeb Gymnasium, Okahandja Secondary School and the hosts Windhoek High School in this age category.
Currently A Shipena holds fourth place in the league standings with last year’s victors, the Windhoek Gymnasium Black Diamonds, once again on course for success this year, taking up standings at first place.
Windhoek Gymnasium are currently three points ahead of Ella du Plessis Secondary School in the U19 league. Ella du Plessis’ U19 netball team are expected to take on Elnatan Private School on Friday afternoon.
The Windhoek High School U19 first team is expected to show their skill and determination against A Shipena and Tsumeb Gymnasium, needing to secure three more points to surpass Ella du Plessis for second place in the league standings.
This weekend’s matches will make up the third installment of the 2023 Capricorn Group Schools Netball League, which is expected to come to a head on 25 and 26 August.
