SSC launches service charter, fraud hotline
The Social Security Commission (SSC) launched its customer service charter and fraud hotline this week.
The charter is a blueprint to provide excellent and timely service to stakeholders and defines the services and products offered by the commission. It is regularly reviewed to ensure that SSC's services remain relevant and meet the ever-changing needs of customers and all beneficiaries.
The hotline is aimed at fostering a secure environment to address any concerns related to fraudulent activities.
Speaking at the launch, board chairperson Dr Dawid /Uirab emphasised the importance of these initiatives, saying the hotline evolved from a fraud-prevention policy developed and adopted by the SSC. “By providing the platform to report suspicious activities, it not only protects the integrity of our organisation but also upholds the trust that our members place in us,” he said.

Namibians can dial the hotline at 0800 66 66 66 to report any misconduct observed by any of SSC's personnel.
"By promoting accountability and vigilance, we aim to safeguard the funds entrusted to us and maintain the highest standard of governance," he said.
SSC executive officer Milka Mungunda urged the organisation’s staff to uphold their duty in line with the two initiatives and to offer great service to customers. "As we celebrate these initiatives, it remains our responsibility to uphold them in order to be better employees and serve the nation," she said.
