Siyauya appointed NFA secretary general

NEWS IN SHORT
The Namibia Football Association (NFA) has announced University of Namibia senior official Charles Siyauya as its new secretary general. He rose to prominence as a firebrand spokesperson for the Swapo Party Youth League in the 2000s.

"We are confident that Mr Siyauya is the best person to lead the NFA into a new era," said NFA president Robert Shimooshili. "His experience, vision and academic background will be invaluable as we work to develop and grow the game of football in Namibia, taking it to all corners of the country and enhancing its commercial value for the benefit of all stakeholders,” he added. Siyauya holds a master's of arts in security and strategic studies and a bachelor's in education. He replaces interim secretary general Jochen Traut.
