DISPATCHED: The Electoral Commission of Namibia last week dispatched ballot papers and non-sensitive materials for the presidential and National Assembly elections to 33 of the country’s 35 diplomatic missions. Voters abroad – seagoing as well as security personnel – will cast their votes on 13 November.
“The consignments containing all election materials were dispatched to 33 out of 35 Namibian diplomatic missions abroad on Friday, 1 November 2024, with Ondjiva and Menongue (Angola) to follow.Political parties contesting in the 2024 national elections were invited to observe the packaging and distribution process,” the commission said in a statement issued over the weekend.
