Ambassadors head to their missions
President Nangolo Mbumba yesterday swore in three ambassadors set to represent Namibia in Botswana, Senegal and Brazil.
Elizabeth Kakukuru will represent Namibia in Botswana and Richard Tsandib will oversee the office in Senegal, while Selma Nghinamundova will bring a little bit of the Land of the Brave to Brazil.
Mbumba urged the delegates to stay informed about current affairs while in their host countries to serve Namibia to the best of their abilities. "I trust that you will all carry out your duties in a manner fully acceptable. I have entrusted you with the confidence of leaders in those respective countries. You have vowed to promote, protect and place Namibia's interest above your own. I trust you to inform your country of any developments in your host countries," he said.
He further encouraged the delegates that whatever task they take on should be for the sole benefit of Namibia.
