News in short
The body of a Congolese national was found in a house in Okahandja’s Nau-aib location on Friday.
Jean James Kiala (28) was a refugee at Osire Refugee Camp, but the circumstances of his stay in Okahandja, where he was renting a house, are unclear.
“It is alleged that the deceased was not seen by his housemates for almost three days. It is further alleged that the housemates, upon experiencing a bad odour from the room of the deceased, entered and found his decomposed body on the bed,” a police report on the matter read. Kiala’s next of kin were informed. A postmortem will be conducted to establish the cause of death.
