We want to look in their eyes - Kahiriri
Football consultant Olsen Kahiriri, one of the organisers of the proposed ‘Bring Back Our Football’ protest slated for 14 January in Windhoek, says they want to look into the eyes of the Fifa delegates when they hand over the petition.

Olsen Kahiriri, a local sports consultant who never minces his words, says Fifa delegates should receive their petition without question and hear the struggles of the people on the ground, and not just sleep at Avani and return to Zurich.
Fifa delegates were expected to arrive in Windhoek yesterday.
Kahiriri stressed that the affected are the players living in Katutura, and that is where Fifa delegates should visit in order to understand the problems.
He added that because of that reason, Fifa should meet with them, and receive the petition so as to see the sincerity in their eyes.
The football consultant urged football fans to turn out in numbers as they march to hand over a petition from Zoo Park (08:30) to Avani Hotel.
He added that the petition covers the most pertinent issue, which is the lack of football since the Normalisation Committee was appointed and in continuation football not being played since the appointment of the football leadership under Ranga Haikali (president) and Franco Cosmos (secretary-general).
He said the issues include footballers not being paid, and funds for women footballers being diverted.
Further, Kahiriri touched on the issue of the NFA paying millions of dollars to neighbours South Africa in order for the national team to compete at their stadiums.
These are all concerns, he said and so, advised Fifa to set up legal structures which will protect players, and that funds for women players be handled by the Women’s Desk.
“The most important thing from all these is that football should start within a month. Whoever is going to run it is not a concern, but it must start. If not, we will lock the doors of the NFA until matters are resolved and they can take the Namibian football leaders back with them to Zurich,” added Kahiriri.
