Warriors shift focus to Chan
With last week's international friendly against Bafana Bafana done and dusted, the Brave Warriors of Namibia set their eyes on the next prize - the upcoming Chan tournament.

The Brave Warriors have a lot of tricks up their sleeves as they gear for the upcoming Cameroon African Nations Championship (Chan) tournament early next year.
The competition is slated for 16 January to 7 February 2021, and only players who ply their trade in the domestic leagues may take part.
This is a great opportunity for footballers like Marcel Papama, Dynamo Fredericks and Emilio Martin to step up and be noticed, and judging by last Thursday's performance, the players can deliver exceptional performances if given the resources, chance and more playing time.
“We really enjoyed the match and it was great to be back on the field. We wish to get more action locally as well,” Papama said.
Squabbles delaying progress
Local action hasn't been possible due to ongoing football squabbles, and despite the domestic league still being inactive, interim coach Bobby Samaria's charges managed a one-all draw against match favourites Bafana Bafana.
Namibia's goal came in the second half from midfielder Absalom Iimbondi, and made it clear that there is quality in execution from the players, though a lot of work still needs to go into the defence.
Samaria's side didn't look worse for wear and matched the South Africans on the field. This can be attributed to assistant coach Robert Nauseb and fitness coach Charl Botha's fierce drilling at training in a short period of time.
It's not clear when the team will start with Chan preparations, but according to Samaria, they will be in quarantine for seven days after Thursday's match.
Namibia is pitted against Zambia's Chipolopolo, Tanzania and Guinea in Group D of the competition.
Their first match will be against Guinea on 19 January, followed by Tanzania on 23 January. The last match of the group will be against Zambia.
Exiting the group will, however, be a daunting task, with Chipolopolo boasting an active local league and looking to come out tops.
This will be Namibia's second appearance at Chan, having made the maiden appearance in 2018 in Morocco.
