Tourney targets youth gems
Vezemba Rodman Katjaimo (VRK) Sports Management has embarked on a journey to develop young footballers and is organising the Omatako Dam Brahman Stud under-13 tournament.
The tourney will take place on 21 September at Berthold Primary School in Katutura.
VKR founder Vezemba Rodman Katjaimo said the tournament will also feature netball and volleyball.
“We would like to invite any school or academy to take part in this prestigious event. There will be volleyball and some other fun games for the adults,” Katjaimo said.
The registration fee is N$500 for football and N$250 for the netball and volleyball categories.
Exposure, as well great prices, are up for grabs, Katjaimo said.
The winning football team will walk away with N$2 500, a trophy and 15 gold medals, while the runners-up will take home N$1 250 and 15 silver medals.
The losing football semi-finalists will be compensated with N$625 each, while there will also be five special prizes on offer.
Twelve gold and silver medals are on offer for the netball and volleyball categories.
The VRK Football Academy was launched in 2016 with the aim of enhancing the skills of young, upcoming footballers.
“For any clarifications, please do contact Hange at 081 484 5234 or me on 081 368 2991,” Katjaimo said.
