Suzy Eises announces new projects
It has been a busy lockdown period for the well-known sax sensation. tjil caught up with her this week to find out what she has in the pipeline for her fans.

On top of bagging international collaborations courtesy of her talent and the power of Twitter, Suzy Eises recently shared that she is on the line-up for the Artists United Global Festival, slated for Saturday, 26 September.
The festival is a collaboration between artists from the UK, USA and Canada, and Eises will represent Namibia in the online show.
“It's a cultural exchange experience for audiences.
“The event organisers wanted to promote and support artists from Namibia and they approached me to be part of this festival,” she told tjil.
New music
Eises mentioned that she has been working on new releases, which she said will be out – hopefully – by the end of the year. Besides working on her own music, she shared that her school, The Namibia College of Music, has been her major focus lately.
“People have been requesting about learning saxophone and piano. I was able to teach students, young and old, about music during the lockdown, which has been a great blessing,” she said.
Doing it on her own
On the lessons she learnt during this pandemic as an artist, she said she has learnt the importance of being musically independent, adding that she is learning how to use studio equipment for production and also how to maximise on her online platforms.
“I have used my talent to network with many international musicians online.”
She admitted that it has been very challenging not being able to put out work that was scheduled for earlier this year due to budget constraints, but maintained that she's positive and does what she can with what she has.

In an exclusive reveal, she told tjil that she will be featured on a track by an international artist soon, adding that this has been one of her blessings from the lockdown period.
“The artist saw my work when my video went viral on Twitter after Wizkid retweeted it.
“I am grateful that the artist contacted me,” she said.
“We worked on a song that will be out soon!”
