Win your share of N$10 000

The ExpressYourself dance challenge offers a chance to win your share of N$10 000

Sunny Boy, musician: “I’m very excited, things like this excite me a lot because it has people and especially dancers come out and express themselves.”

ExpressCredit Namibia has approached well-known Namibian artist Sunny Boy to launch the ExpressYourself dance challenge on 22 October. Dancer Stanley Mareka, better known as the ‘African Cobra’, joined Sunny Boy in his venture with an accompanying dance.

“It was such a fun-filled event! The live performance and dancing on Independence Avenue continued throughout Town Square and ended up at Wernhil Mall,” Stefnie Jansen, the marketing manager at ExpressCredit, said.

However, all fun things must come to an end and the ExpressYourself dance challenge is no exception.

The challenge, which offers participants the chance to win their share of N$10 000, will conclude on 27 November.

“What better way to connect your community than to dance through the streets of Windhoek together with Sunny Boy and Stanley Mareka,” Jansen said. “We are committed to finding new ways to surprise and delight our customers. ExpressYouself Dance Challenge is the perfect embodiment, and we hope that by launching this challenge, we are going one step further to spread joy and some laughter!”

To enter the competition, participants must share a video of themselves doing the ExpressYourself dance to Sunny Boy’s song ‘Balance’ on or before 25 November, use the hashtag #ExpressCreditDanceChallenge. Also tag ExpressCredit on both Facebook and Instagram.

“I’m very excited, things like this excite me a lot because it has people and especially dancers come out and express themselves. And even the fact that you can win N$10 000 is amazing because we’re coming from a very difficult time and many people are not financially stable. Especially those of us in entertainment were hit very hard. It’s very encouraging,” Sunny Boy said.

He added that this dance challenge is just the beginning of even greater things.

“I see their vision and I feel that we work well together and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get them to the next step. We are starting with a dance challenge but that’s just to show people that we really want to give back to the community,” he said.
