All women struggle with this. If it’s not the lashes then it’s the denim skirt from your go-to shop that is way too overpriced or just not budgeted for.

How do you go out looking like a million bucks without actually having a million bucks?

All women struggle with this. If it’s not the lashes then it’s the denim skirt from your go-to shop that is way too overpriced or just not budgeted for.

Most people go for the ‘less is more’ thing, but this tends to get boring and we all want to look like Bad gal Riri every once in a while without having to spend a fortune for it.

The key is to know where you shop. Don’t shop hard, just shop smart. Then there is pairing your outfits and making sure you feel comfortable, yet beautiful. No one wants to pull a Lady Gaga, and be caught in N$600 stilettos which just ends up giving you blisters.

I always opt for the ‘homeless chic’ look, if you can call it that. You know the ripped jeans and 3 year old t-shirt that is begging to be donated or passed down to your siblings?

Bro! If you never had to pass down your clothes or receive hand-me-downs from your siblings, then you have been living your best life.

To the rest of us who has been dealing with those struggles, we always had to find ways to go out in our sister’s clothes and pretend it is ours.

Growing up I had a lot of women to learn from in terms of finding out what my style was like. I always had people to bounce ideas from and get a little positive criticism.

See the struggle is real but the need to look good on a budget is the realest.

Being a journalist makes it so easy for me because I can literally step out in my pyjamas and look cool. As long as it’s not some SpongeBob onesy. My fashion is inspired by the Grown.ish actor, Luka Sabbat and Yara Shahidi, not that I look anywhere as nice as they do in my rags.

Stepping out in a Mr Price piece is so risky. I mean one minute you think you’re standing out, then the next half the people at the event or party has on the exact same outfit piece, with a touch of individuality not enough to make you feel better though.

Individuality is so important, because everywhere you go, someone will have a similar outfit, and it is inevitable.

For guys it’s not that simple. They have a bigger need to always stay on point. There’s no grey area with them. It’s either Trey Songz or Lil Uzi Vert.

Staying in the loop and within your budget is difficult but I’m sure we all have at least one fashion bone in our body. As long as you feel comfortable and beautiful then the people around you are bound to notice

So next time you want to slay, don’t break your budget, just make sure you stop at every shop to get the perfect pieces that will put your outfit together.
