We all know that this musical dream-chasing game is a difficult one, and that's probably one of the reasons why a certain section of society views anybody chasing a music career as someone who isn't serious, but who cares, right? Because the only person you really should be listening to is yourself, reason being the biggest battles seem to be internal.
Take relatively new artist Muno here for example. Although not yet known by many in the mainstream, she continues to chase the dream. So, when tjil learned that she will be dropping an EP titled 'Undisputed Vibes', we had to reach out to the rising star to find out about this forthcoming project.
Muno said the sonic direction she took entails Afrobeats and Amapiano.
“You can also expect great vocal techniques – that's singing, chanting and a little bit of rapping here and there,” she said.
She shared that it took her about three months to put together this EP, affirming that she believes she has good taste in music. “It didn't really take much time from me and it wasn't hectic because the recording process was fun.”
The singer worked with a few producers. Track one was done by Sean Blizzy and the others were produced by Jowdy On the Beat and Eddy Mann.
“The last song, track five 'Oshitengi', features Un-per- fact and that's the only feature I have for this project.”
On the rollout plan, Muno said the plan is a road trip to different towns across the country, but of course starting in the nation's capital.
She added that she looks forward to performing for her fans and getting to know them.
“I will be very active on social media, TV and radio, engaging with my people. I just hope they're ready for me,” she added.
