After a lengthy application assessment and online audition process, the Namibian franchise of the Man of the World pageant has revealed this year’s top nine.
A statement shared by pageant director and model scout Bobby Kaanjosa announced that 50 contestants entered this year.
“The models are unique and represent the ideal Namibian man.
“There will be another elimination this week,” he said, adding that six contestants will be eliminated to reveal the top three.
The top nine contestants are: Jafet David, Herman Hausiku, Festus Kampanza, Imillio Kotze, Johaness Muyenga, Ortega Ndiyavele, Danny Shikwambi, Winslau Samaria and Abner Vilho.

Next round
Kaandjosa said the next round of activities, which entails a paper/project presentation and an interview, will help the judges select the top three.
He mentioned Mpho Botha, Calvert Beukes, Tofik Nasir, Simeone Johannes, Micheal Pulse, Frieda Karipi and Kennedy Amadhila as the judges, who hail from South Africa, Ghana and Namibia.
The Man of the World pageant is a competition that promotes masculinity and is hosted in the Philippines every year. It aims to bring awareness to the importance of world education.
In an interview with tjil last month, Kaanjosa shared that the international organisation has postponed the pageant to October to adhere to international coronavirus travel ban regulations.
