Lowkey eyes Sniper Man
Namibian WBO Global Junior lightweight champion, Jeremiah 'Lowkey' Nakathila will exchange leather with Emmanuel 'Sniper Man' Amos from Tanzania on 28 March at the Independence Boxing Bonanza.
The boxing event, aimed to honour and celebrate Namibia's 30th independence anniversary, will be held under the theme 'independence boxing celebration', and will see Nakathila putting his most prized asset on the line against Amos at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino.
Nakathila, who now stands at 20 fights with 19 wins and only one loss, is the firm favourite against the Tanzanian who comes to the fight with a record of 19 fights, 15 wins, three draws and one loss.
“I'm really excited about this fight; I will become a mandatory challenger for the top spot if I win. This is a do-or-die fight for me because of what it means and I will go all out to win it. We are also celebrating our country's 30th independence and that will make this win even sweeter.
“I invite all boxing fans to come out on 28 March to enjoy world-class boxing,” said an optimistic Nakathila.
WBO Africa Welterweight champion and WBO number five, Mike Shonena, will also be in action at the event, as will Walter 'The Executioner' Kautondokwa, making the bonanza a must-attend.
General tickets sell for N$200 at Computicket and N$250 at the venue, while VIP tables go for N$10 000. The fight is promoted by MTC Nestor Sunshine Promotions.
