Swakopmund-based multi-talented musician Heather ‘Livinge’ Dennis - formerly known as Miss H - recently released the visuals to her latest single titled ‘Tell Em’.
The artist, who specialises in live performance, took to social media to announce the completion of the video, which was directed by Nautilus Media.
Her musical journey has largely comprised live performances that have shaped urban sounds in many contemporary spaces.
The fuel Livinge provides is what our musical imaginations need during these difficult times.
The singer’s journey started in Swakopmund and the artist has gone on to inspire audiences in Zambia, Angola, South Africa, Tanzania and Germany.
“We are all super proud and excited for you guys to see the final product,” Livinge shared.
Authentic sound
The artist’s dynamic vocal ability accompanied by an intimate love of the guitar accentuates an authentic sound that awakens the soul.
The track is Livinge telling the world that we have ancestors that have come to remind us of our greatness.
This invokes joy and pride in the hearts of Africans to change the narrative about our land, our lives and our love all over the continent and the world.
“The song seeks to change the traditional narrative of Africa and its people by singing that mama told us to tell them all over Africa that this land is ours.”
“‘Tell ‘Em’ is an African anthem about our dignity and humanity written in Africa for the world because people are always trying to humiliate Africans. It’s an expression of contemporary African culture, customs and heritage,” she explained.

This becomes very evident during live performances - either solo or as the lead singer in the well-known Namibian band, The Fate of H - with an affinity for many styles of music like folk, blues, Afro, rock, funk and reggae.
