English Rugby Football Union championship side Jersey Reds have signed 25-year-old Namibian player Lesley Klim ahead of the 2020/21 season.
The Jersey Reds campaigns in the UK's second-tier and the 13-capped Klim, who featured in the 2019 Rugby World Cup in games against New Zealand and South Africa, is expected to bring excitement to the club. Capable of covering both centre and wing, he was briefly with the Reds on loan from the Ospreys last season, prior to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic that prevented him making his debut in an away game at Nottingham and subsequently ended the season. He played for the Namibian side Welwitschias from 2015 to 2017, then moved to Europe for a season at Doncaster Knights and most recently spent two years in Wales with the Ospreys. Klim hadn't responded to questions by the time of going to print, but fans have been sending the winger congratulatory messages on Facebook.
