Keeping it classic
The vintage market is the first local flea market organised specifically for vintage and antique items and will take place at the NUST Hotel School from 28 to 30 May 2021.

Providing entertainment at the Vintage Market Namibia (VMN) will be Suzy Eises, Ronaldo the Violinist, Uncle and DJ Miguel.
Speaking to tjil, Jossy Oskar, co-founder of VMN, shared that the objective is to bring small businesses together with a common purpose to showcase their merchandise or services at an event established for their market.
Oscar mentioned that over 20 exhibitors will be selling vintage items.
Spes Bona Classics and Old Wheelers Club will be exhibiting their vintage rides.
“Tatekulu Barbershop will be coming through with their beard shaving and trimming haircuts. A wine-tasting venue, whiskey and vodka tasting, as well as a craft beer room, will also be open.
“We also envisaged the importance of incorporating various old-age homes by enabling the older generation to touch base with their history, the items that remind them of what used to be and give them a sense of peace and recollection, which helps them connect with a past era,” said Oscar.
