KAT Active is here!

Last December, KAT Active launched the first online shop for women's active wear in Namibia.

KAT Active, a proudly Namibian active wear brand for women, is owned and operated by husband and wife team Jacobus and Alexandra Henn.

Their garments are tried and tested by yoga instructors, personal trainers, fitness competitors, ballerinas and more. Whether hitting the gym or running errands, comfort is the name of the game.

The range caters for women of all shapes and sizes, with body-hugging fabric. “All of our products are sourced locally, with the fabric being the only exception,” Alexandra said. “We wanted everything to be authentically Namibian. Even the names and colours of our prints are derived from fauna and flora in Namibia. Our products are made with the mindset of eliminating over-accessorised branding, and focusing on quality.

“The fabric has a four-way stretch factor, is breathable and is a lightweight material for a 'second skin' feel. Our garments are suitable for high impact sports and also have a compression quality to keep firmness during a workout,” she said.

They imported fitness wear from South Africa at first, but decided to fill the gap in Namibia with a local brand.

They then began building towards an identity and product that signifies 'Proudly Namibian.'

“We had our website designed where all our clothing is sold from. Here you can view the beautiful products in their bright colours and mesmerising prints,” Alexandra said.

Prints and colours are matched with the seasons where possible, and KAT Active will produce new items every three months to keep the range exciting and fresh.

She added that even though they may be limited to prints and colours, they are dedicated to bringing new and exciting products throughout the year, emphasising that they don't compare themselves to any brands available on the market. “A better way to put it would be to say that we intend to set the trend and standard for Namibia from here onwards when it comes to women's fitness wear.”

KAT Active employs five brand ambassadors, all of whom are Namibians who market and model the products on social media.

The brand delivers countrywide (shipping not included) and aims to have products available in selected outlets for even easier purchase.

In the meantime, items are available via kat-active.com, and products are delivered to your doorstep within 48 hours.

“We really urge customers to make use of the website as it is quick, easy and there is no queuing. The comfort and ease of ordering clothing online is fast catching on in Namibia, and we are proud to be at the forefront,” Alexandra said.
