KasiVibe volume five a success

KasiVibe is an exhibition platform created for the youth, upcoming entrepreneurs and small- and medium-sized enterprises which is hosted at the Sam Nujoma Stadium. 'Dreams are the seeds of change' is the theme for volume six and it will take place from 31 May to 2 June.
Three young individuals, Salmi Shigwedha, Bomba Shigwedha and Robert Switch, started with this great initiative and decided to name it KasiVibe as the term Kasi refers to the township.
The main reason why these young stars came up with this brilliant idea is due to the difficulty they had to exhibit and market their business.
“The support has been overwhelming and it has shown great growth in terms of the increasing interest from start-ups and established entrepreneurs,” says Shigwedha.
When asked by tjil how the fifth edition differed from the previous editions, Shigwedha said they had more interest in exhibitions and the attendance was massive. The kiddies corner has also improved with the support of Sugar King and Bakpro Namibia. KasiVibe received over 800 applications but could only accommodate 100 exhibitors.
Saara Iileka who attended the event said that she enjoyed it as she did not have to worry about crime. “I left my phone unattended on the table for hours and still found it where I left it when I returned.” Another attendee said he had a lot of fun and the set-up and decor was well done. “The only thing I would recommend is to expand the area as it took long to get out of the venue,” he said. One thing that KasiVibe wants to improve on is to secure a venue of their own.
The line-up was exciting as Namibian artists and DJs such as Roxy, Loudima, Top Cheri and Sunny Boy entertained the audience.
