HAVAL H2 gets 5-star Aussie safety-rating

Customer safety is paramount to the continued development of Haval as a global brand and this is recognised by ANCAP (Australian New Car Assessment Programme) which rewarded Haval with a 5 Star for the Haval H2 with Dual Frontal, Side and Curtain airbags.

This 5 Star rating, announced on 30 October, with an overall score: 34.88 (out of 37), made up of the Frontal Offset Test 13.88 (out of 16) / Side Impact Test 16.00 (out of 16) / Pole Test 2.00 (out of 2) / Good Whiplash Protection / Acceptable Pedestrian Protection / ESC as standard and Seat Belt Reminders 3.00 (out of 3)

SAFETY FIRST!

The H2 is on a roll and just months after being released to the Southern African market, this compact SUV is already making quite a name for itself.

Cars.co.za recently named the Haval H2 as a semi-finalist in this year's Consumer Awards and it has now been awarded the maximum 5-Star safety grade by Australia's leading independent vehicle safety advocate, ANCAP.

This announcement came in the same month that China's Automobile Technology & Research centre conducted its most rigorous open rollover test, carried out in the Real Car collision laboratory, in Tianjin for the first time.

“We applied the most meticulous and uncompromising technological standards. This safety collision evaluation system met all the global market requirements,” said vice-president, Samuel Chen.

That safety test meets the requirements in both China and the EU, and even parts of the laws and regulations of the US and NCAP.

HAVAL is driven to present its customer with safer SUVs. The addition of the five-star ANCAP rating is the latest in a remarkable run of success for China's number one SUV manufacturer.
