Cina Hair is a local business that specialises in providing services that help shape a woman’s overall confidence by providing a wide range of quality services that include wig-making, colouring, styling as well as the installation of wigs. This endeavour came to life after entrepreneur and businesswoman Celma Hamunyela took her expertise - having been in the hair and beauty industry for eight years - to create and market a business venture of her own.

The 26-year-old said she started small. After graduating with an honours degree in business administration, she began networking and it all flourished from there.

“I’ve always been creative and business-minded” Hamunyela said. After establishing herself in the hair and beauty industry, the young entrepreneur became an influencer, commercial model and brand ambassador for various businesses, which led her to become the founder and business owner of Cina Hair.

This business offers a variety of services for their clientele in which they do hair cleaning and treatment, wig-making with a sewing machine, hair bleaching and colouring as well as selling luxury fully-made Brazilian wigs. They offer free delivery services for the convenience of their customers. Cina Hair targets the female population through which the beauty industry is thriving. “Every day trends are evolving, and the demand for Brazilian hair and wigs is becoming more and more popular in different women of various age groups,” the entrepreneur said.

“Cina Hair was born out of the continuous hunger to succeed and grow,” Hamunyela explained. She described the business as a place where customers can feel comfortable and are assured their needs will be met.

“I’m very meticulous with my work; I like to keep things professional.” Maintaining a balance, she strongly believes in creating a safe space for her customers to be able to voice their opinions and express themselves freely.

Hamunyela added that “looking good and feeling good boosts your overall confidence”. Cina Hair offers a standard of courage, discipline, fortitude and integrity to make a woman feel and look beautiful. The young entrepreneur has ambitions to expand her business beyond the borders of Nambia in the years to come.

“I do have a degree of modesty,” she teased, but continued that she is “very confident” in her ability to produce. “I like to consistently set firm goals and find ways in which I can achieve them.”

Hamunyela said the pressure of running a business is inspiring and a big motivator to her. After all, pressure creates diamonds.
