Fire16 announces long-awaited debut album

Having dropped a slew of projects in the past, packaged as mixtapes and EPs, Christian rapper and visual creative Fire16 is finally gearing up to release his debut album, Epoch.
Slated to drop on Friday, 26 June, Epoch will be available on physical copies as well as online, he shared.
To entice his fans, the rapper has shared two singles, accompanied with visuals, from the forthcoming album.
“The first video I dropped in April was Forty-Five. I was simply telling you all that while I have been quiet, God has been busy filling my cup. And then I introduce my family to everyone. They make a five-second appearance. I am a dad now, plus I am a blessed husband,” he said.
The second video is called Ballin’ On Grace.

Keeping sane
On how he has been keeping sane during the coronavirus lockdown, while putting together a body of work, the rapper said he has been adjusting to the new normal, but admitted that some of his musical plans have fallen through.
“I wanted to have my own headline concert this year, but I don’t think things will change, as we still have to social distance, so that may not happen.
“I have also used this time to study how to make my social media presence more appealing, as I’m not the most creative guy at that.”

Trusting God
While Fire16 admitted that it’s a difficult time to release an album, as many people have lost their jobs and taken salary cuts, he emphasised that this move will be a leap of faith.
“I trust God for a positive outcome,” he said.
