ESB: A producing prodigy

ESB, real name Eduardo Riabo, is making waves on the music scene, thanks to his pristine beat-making skills.
The Walvis Bay-based virtuoso recently released his latest track titled Hey Mami. The producer shared that the single, which is a collaboration with Space (Rivaldo van den Heever), is about a guy who tries to convince a girl to try and love again.
“We all know the feeling of being crushed and this is basically capturing that emotion of going for it and trying to love again,” ESB said.

Notable work
The producer has worked with acclaimed artists over the years like 2017 Namibia Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) best newcomer of the year Jaleel, and 2020 NAMAs best rap/hip-hop nominee Lioness.
Most notably, he recently worked on several songs on Monique English’s latest album, Red.
Their collaboration later saw English receiving two nominations for the 2020 NAMAs. The nominations are for best Afropop and best female artist of the year.

‘I feel blessed’
Expressing his excitement about being part of the production process of a NAMA-nominated album, ESB said he feels so blessed and even more motivated to continue making great music.
“The best part of it all is the fact that I could make everyone who has supported me proud. It’s an intensely heart-warming feeling.”
English told tjil she found it easy to work with ESB because of the understanding that she developed with him from the start.
“We kicked off with some good chemistry between artist and producer. It's essential that artists and producers build a good relationship and understand each other, and just vibe. That made it easy for us to work together,” the songbird said.
