Congolese busted with dagga worth N$1.3m
The police in the Erongo Region have made four drug-related arrests in the last week.

The Erongo police made a major drug bust in Swakopmund on Tuesday when a Congolese man (31) was arrested for dealing in cannabis.
The suspect was found in possession of 2.7 kg of cannabis valued at N$1.35 million.
He was apprehended at a complex opposite Shell service station in Nelson Mandela Street, and was expected to appear in the magistrate’s court on Friday on a charge of dealing, alternatively possession of cannabis.
According to the police report, the suspect already has a pending drug case, having been arrested in Mondesa with one gram of cocaine powder valued at N$500. That case was postponed to 12 July for plea and trail.
More busts
In a separate incident, another man (26) was arrested in Mondesa last Thursday for dealing in crack cocaine and cocaine powder. He was arrested at the Single Quarters, close to Continental Bar, during a police operation.
Eddieson !Auxab made his first appearance on Monday. He was found with 98 units of crack cocaine and two grams of cocaine powder valued at N$10 800.
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old man was arrested on a charge of possession of cannabis last Friday during a police operation in Narraville, Walvis Bay. He was arrested at a house in Atlantis Street with 23 bankies of cannabis (skunk, 40 g) valued at N$2 000. Charles Kisting (33) made his first appearance in court on Monday.
Also last Friday, another man (36) was arrested in the vicinity of the Narraville soccer field for possession of cannabis and illicit cigarettes. He was found in possession of eight bankies of cannabis (skunk, 10 g) and 14 packets of illicit cigarettes valued at N$514.
Ralph Thomas also made his first court appearance on Monday.
