Namibian footballer Zenatha Coleman yesterday announced on social media that she had parted ways with Spain’s Sevilla Football Club.
The 28-year-old Coleman signed a one-year contract with Sevilla in 2020, and then renewed the contract with the club to 2023, but according to international media, the two parties mutually decided to part ways during the transfer window.
Despite her leading role, her coach Cristian Toro preferred to pick players from the academy in recent times. Coleman featured in 13 matches for the club, scored one goal and assisted two in this season.
“I can only thank the club for giving me an opportunity to display my talent on various beautiful moments. Wish them well and success for the rest of the season,” Coleman said on social media.
Sevilla is currently in sixth position on the log, with 27 points. Barcelona leads the log with 51 points, in second is Sociedad (40) followed in third by Atlético de Madrid (34).
The player, who is currently in Namibia, could not be reached for comment.
