From its humble beginnings in 2004, Auto Sueco Namibia is now a reckoned force in the Extra heavy and heavy commercial vehicle market with their Volvo and UD truck operations, the company is not resting on its laurels and is looking towards 2021 with a renewed sense of optimism.

In 2016 the business acquired the UD Trucks Importers and Retailers from the Pupkewitz group. The UD Truck business was placed also in the Brakwater Volvo facility as well as in Walvisbay.

To position itself for the future even better, Auto Sueco Namibia decided on a revamp in 2019 as a multi branded facility and completion was in July 2020.

“With our new premises and building, we will be able to offer our customers a one-stop-shop experience which we service from a single reception area. We now also have ample floor space for all our trucking brands,” says Gerhard Rossouw Managing Director.

“The new premises will also allow us space for future expansion and gives us room for development into 2021. This big change allows us to offer better services to our customers,” he says.

Coupled with its move, Auto Sueco Namibia has optimistic expectations about 2021 and intends to also start positioning in the agricultural market with a planned sale of tractors as well as a planned strategy of expansion to also soon sell competitive products and services in power generating equipment business segment.

The year 2021 will also see the company expanding its Volvo trucking range. Regarding this launch of Volvo Trucks, Rui Miguel Pinto, Marketing Manager of Auto Sueco Namibia and Nors Group companies in Africa, says that is being prepared a local marketing action oriented to its customers, in order of promote the new features and benefits in terms of performance and efficiency of the new models in the middle of next year. Rui Miguel Pinto also says that the digitalization of the processes and the renewal of communication channels will also be a priority to the company in 2021.

“We want to be even closer of the market and our customers. Not only with our sales force, but also in the digital channels with a good quality of the information and product communication that we will provide to the market regarding our operation and representation of Volvo Trucks and UD Trucks brands”, Rui Miguel Pinto declares.

With Covid-19 forming a big part of 2020, Rossouw says Auto Sueco Namibia has gone to great lengths to ensure that it is a responsible corporate citizen.

“We have zero-tolerance to non-adherence of the rules set to stop the spread of the coronavirus. We are also committed to ensure that our employees and customers are safe at all times.” says Rossouw.

Auto Sueco Namibia is a company which belongs to Nors Group, that has its headquarters in Portugal and its present in 17 countries in the world. In Africa, Nors Group is also present in Mozambique, Botswana and Angola, consolidating an operation with 9 companies in this continent.
