Henriette Lamprecht – Wanting to keep the memory alive of her youngest daughter, who passed away at the age of 15 in 2014, Christa Pesch created an oasis that focuses on all that’s needed to holistically care for mind, body, and soul.It’s a dream come true for Christa describes herself as the mother of three lovely daughters who, since she can remember, had a love for all things creative including sewing, baking children’s birthday cakes, and renovating her house. Her love for the holistic side of life also includes alternative medicine and healing methods and modalities. Most recently she has ventured into making gemstone jewellery, dreamcatchers, and special items for her shop.When her youngest daughter Daniella, nicknamed Pixi, passed away seven years ago, Christa ended up in a deep depression and questioned the real meaning of life. “I wanted to keep her memory alive and create something special for her,” she explains.Learning more about gemstones, crystals, essential oils, chakras, and sound healing among others, kept her mind busy and brought her onto her spiritual path. “I wanted to have a space that had all of these things under one roof.”In September 2017, Christa actively started turning her dream of just that into reality.“For me, opening my little shop, the name in honour of my daughter’s nickname, this was my oasis.”The company where she was employed at that point made it possible for her to start her shop in a small wooden Wendy house in their warehouse. Together with her other two daughters, they made various items for the shop.“Up until today I still create various items for the shop, which often helps me cope on the less joyful days.”Towards the end of 2019, the same company moved and Christa was able to use a bigger space to expand her shop. The range of products increased and as clients voiced their needs, more products were sourced and created.At the beginning of 2021 she accepted that her heart and soul were completely invested in her oasis. She wanted to give 100% of her energy to grow her shop and be there for her clients. “After 18 years, I resigned from my former job to give PIXI OASIS my all. After weeks of renovations, building shelves, and unpacking, I opened my bigger PIXI OASIS at the current location on the 10th of April 2021.”PIXI OASIS stocks various products for body, mind, and soul including Himalayan salt lamps and Himalayan salt products, a big variety of incense and related products, gemstones including crystal/gemstone jewellery, essential oils, candles, dreamcatchers, oracle cards, various natural body care products and much more. Products are sourced locally as far as possible while others are sourced from various places. “I use most of the products myself, and I find it difficult to choose just one that is close to my heart, as each product has its valued meaning in my healing journey.”PIXI OASIS is not only a shop, Christa explains. She also sees it as a hub where you can connect to what you need on your spiritual journey. “Clients have confided in me about their struggles. Sharing my information about alternative healing modalities and practitioners with them has enabled many to start their healing process. It is always interesting to exchange different experiences of spiritual journeys with my clients.
