Simply You Magazine hosts the fourth edition of the Simply You Magazine Lifestyle and Fashion Awards (SYMLAFA) this Saturday, 19 September, in Windhoek.
Themed Avant-Garde: Wear Your Art, the ceremony is hosted by media personality Robyn Naakambo, with performances by Davian-Lee, KP Illest and Gazza.
For the 2020 edition, SYMLAFA celebrates and rewards 58 personalities in the diverse and growing Namibian arts industry.
In an interview with tjil this morning, Simply You Magazine managing director Helena Ngaifiwa shared that the organisers are looking forward to a thrilling show.

By invite only
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the event may only be attended by invited guests, inclusive of sponsors and the media. “We were really hoping the limitation of people would be raised to 100, but with that not being the case, we fully honour the president's decision that the health and wellbeing of our people must come first at all times.”
With the show turning into an intimate affair this year, Ngaifiwa saidthat the organisers have decided to distribute monetary sponsorship courtesy of MTC, Coca Cola and The Basement amongst the winners. “Each winner this year will walk away with a trophy, a cash prize of N$5 000 and a voucher worth N$5 000 from Namibia Wildlife Resorts,” Ngaifiwa said.
Other prizes for the winners include: A case of Appletizer refreshments, make-up training by Ada’s Creations and a canvas print by AO Canvas, while the male and female model of the year will win automatic casting for the MTC Windhoek Fashion Week (MTCWFW). The winning accessories designer, emerging designer as well as the fashion designer of the year will showcase for free at MTCWFW.
