Denzil Platt’s establishment caters to the diverse needs of car enthusiasts, offering services such as paint correction, detailing and valeting.

"My passion for cars and the desire to provide high-quality auto detailing services in Namibia inspired me to start my own business,” he said.

Like many start-ups, Auto Detailing Namibia faced initial challenges.

“Starting a business is never easy, but our commitment to quality helped us overcome those hurdles," 23-year-old Platt explained.

He credits their unwavering commitment to quality for overcoming the challenges initially faced by Auto Detailing Namibia.

Community support

Community engagement remains a cornerstone of Auto Detailing Namibia's philosophy. Platt stressed their active involvement in local events and sponsorship of sports teams, underscoring entrepreneurship's potential to drive positive change.

"We're not just here to do business. We are here to make a difference in our community. And for the aspiring entrepreneurs, I’d advise you to find something you're passionate about, do your research and don’t be afraid to take risks."

The fulfilment derived from running his own business is evident in Platt's words. He finds joy in witnessing the satisfaction of customers and the transformation of vehicles after their detailing work.

Memorable moment

One memorable incident involved restoring a customer's mud-covered car from an off-road excursion.

“The car was in poor condition and required a lot of work. However, we took it as a challenge, put in extra hours and were able to restore the car to its former glory. It was a great learning experience for us,” Platt recalled.

Entrepreneurship presents its share of challenges, as Platt acknowledged, but he views each obstacle as an opportunity for growth and learning, exemplified by overcoming daunting detailing tasks.

Auto Detailing Namibia has experienced notable expansion since its establishment. Platt proudly points out their growing range of services, growing customer base and excellent reputation within the market.

Even amid his entrepreneurial pursuits, Platt emphasises the significance of effective time management, particularly balancing academic commitments with business responsibilities. Platt epitomises youthful entrepreneurship, channelling his passion into a thriving business that not only delivers exceptional services but also leaves a lasting impact on the local community.

As Auto Detailing Namibia continues its journey of growth and success, Platt remains steadfast in his commitment to driving excellence, one detail at a time.
