Jan Möhr student exchanges offer vast opportunities

Jan Möhr, as an educational institution, continuously provides opportunities to students based on their achievements in sports, academics and involvement at school and in society.

In one of its most recent collaborations with a school in Germany, the Gesamtschule Scharnhorst in Dortmund, Jan Möhr has joined a student exchange programme, providing students with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The programme was launched last year. Each year, a group of four students is chosen to represent the school.

The programme is fully funded by Unesco Namibia, meaning students do not have to pay any fees.

The exchange programme allows German learners to visit Namibia in March, and the Namibian students go to Germany the following year at the same time.



Each group stays in the country for about a month. During their visit, they tour various parts of the country accompanied by the host group. In our most recent visit, the German group, accompanied by our group, visited Etosha, Swakopmund and most parts of Windhoek.

One of the exchange students said: "From the moment I was told I’m part of the programme, I felt so happy and excited to represent my school. Being part of the programme myself is so exhilarating, as I can fill you guys in on everything you need to know. Please do congratulate our new group and wish them all the best.”
