At Danie Joubert, royalty runs in our blood

The last Miss Danie Joubert was held in 2015. It is due to its popularity and cultural significance in our school and community that the LRC guardian seized the opportunity to revive the pageant.

The beauty pageant attracted 10 lovely contestants and these girls developed self-confidence, poise and public speaking skills during their journey with Miss Danie Joubert. The 10 contestants were:

5. Lahga Josua

6. Yulanay Kotze

7. La-hidja Ngutonda

8. Cleopatra Pieters

9. Fenny Kapofi

10. Brunney Kandovazu



The pageant took place on 28 April at the Danie Joubert school hall. On the evening of the event, the girls looked stunning in all their attires, especially in the evening gowns. All the performances were splendorous and extraordinary. The contestants each gave a stunning performance, but only five went to the final round. They were: Morgan Louw, La-hidja Ngutonda, Cleopatra Pieters, Brunney Kandovazu and Fenny Kapofi. The girls were each asked a question and their responses were great.

After the questions, the judges had to choose the winners. Miss Photogenic was awarded to Yulanay Kotze and Cleopatra Pieters because they looked stunning in all their photos.

Miss Personality was Brunney Kandovazu because she had a wonderful and amazing personality. The first princess was Fenny Kapofi and the second princess was Morgan Louw. Cleopatra Pieters was crowned as Miss Danie Joubert 2023. What a phenomenal event it was! I hope this event inspires all the young girls to participate more in such events.
