Women in Leadership event designed to empower

Staff Reporter
Swakopmund mayor Dina Namubes will be the host for the upcoming ‘Women in Leadership – Leading Ladies Soirée’, an event scheduled to take place from 27 to 29 April at the Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre.

"It is an opportunity for women to come together, collaborate and discuss progress towards gender equality, the eradication of gender-based violence, and empowering women in society and the economy," explained Namubes.

The event is designed to empower women in leadership and provide a platform for women to network and learn from one another. The aim is to bring together an exclusive group of inspiring women to connect, network and share their success stories.

"We will be hosting a range of activities, including a cocktail hour and a scavenger hunt throughout the spectacular Swakopmund Destination, that will give attendees the opportunity to relax, unwind, and have fun with other women in leadership," said Namubes.

Unique engagement

The focus is on empowering women in leadership. "We believe that this event will provide a unique opportunity for women to learn from others, share their experiences, and make valuable connections that can help take their careers to the next level."

With a line-up of impressive speakers and a theme of 'Equity vs. Equality', the event aims to empower and inspire women in leadership positions. Attendees can expect to engage in discussions and activities that promote growth and development, as well as network with like-minded individuals. Attendees can also look forward to being inspired and motivated by our distinguished keynote speaker, Inge Zaamwani-Kamwi, as well as by Beatrice Schultz. With their valuable insights and experiences, both speakers are sure to engage and challenge the attendees.

Namubes extended an invitation to women all over Namibia to sign up for the event at a fee of N$3 000 per person, inclusive of all activities. "Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with your sisters in leadership and experience the stunning natural beauty of Swakopmund. Join us and let us continue to build a brighter future for women in Namibia together," she said.
