Vivo Energy Namibia retains ISO 9001:2015 certification
Vivo Energy Namibia, the distributor and marketer of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, has successfully retained its ISO 9001:2015 certification. This internationally recognised standard signifies the company's dedication to upholding a robust quality management system (QMS).
A ceremony in Windhoek marked the occasion, where Dr Eino Mvula, CEO of the Namibian Standards Institution (NSI), commended Vivo Energy Namibia's commitment to a QMS. Vivo Energy Namibia is the sole oil marketer in Namibia that has achieved this standard.
Jaco van Rensburg, managing director of Vivo Energy Namibia, expressed appreciation to the NSI team.
"The rigorous audit process served to refine and strengthen our internal procedures, assuring all our motorists and commercial clients of the quality of our products," he said. According to van Rensberg, the ISO 9001:2015 certification fosters a culture of continuous evaluation and improvement within the company.
Magnaem Simon, supply and distribution manager at Vivo Energy Namibia, said the re-accreditation signifies the oil marketer's dedication to the safe and reliable handling of hydrocarbons.
"The QMS ensures adherence to stringent protocols for storing and distributing fuels and lubricants. By prioritising quality, Vivo Energy Namibia strives to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations," Simon said.
