Kasi Vibe Festival 2024: A vibrant fusion of culture, music and entrepreneurship

Michael Kayunde
The 14th edition of the Kasi Vibe Festival, held from 4 to 6 October at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek, brought a fresh twist to Namibia's most beloved urban festival. Under the theme 'Bringing The Kasi Back: International Edition', this year’s event saw notable changes that resonated with festival goers.

For the first time, the festival was held as a single annual edition, departing from the multi-edition format of previous years. Organisers spared no effort in transforming the venue into a vibrant hub, with an array of vendor set-ups showcasing local talent and entrepreneurship. The festival introduced a second 'Nam Style' stage, complementing the main stage and offering a dynamic musical experience.

The line-up featured an eclectic mix of Namibian artists, from crowd-favourite DJ Spuzza and singer Adora to the ever-entertaining Chester Houseprince, Cassidy Karon, Tashen and more. The diverse array of vendors ensured that there was something for everyone, ranging from street fashion to artisanal food offerings.

Kasi Vibe Festival 2024 successfully brought the kasi culture back, blending entertainment, music and business in an event that stayed true to its roots while offering an international flair. Namibian Sun was there to capture these moments...
