Water rationing hits north this week

NamWater has urged residents in the northern regions to use water “extra sparingly” this week due to a planned maintenance exercise at Oshakati Treatment Plant.
This according to a notice issued to stakeholders in the Ohangwena, Oshana and Oshikoto regions last week.
The planned maintenance exercise is set to take place until Thursday, 27 June, at 17:00, it read. “In order to build up the reservoir capacities, there will be rationing of water [this week] from 05:00 to 22:00.”
