Qatar donates 58 000 food parcels to Namibia

The State of Qatar yesterday handed over 58 000 food baskets in Walvis Bay to support Namibia’s drought relief efforts.
Erongo governor Neville Andre noted that the people of Erongo, like many across Namibia, have been severely impacted by persistent drought conditions. He said the food parcels will be distributed to communities in the Erongo, Hardap, ||Karas, and Otjozondjupa regions, where many are bearing the brunt of the crisis.
The donated food items include essential supplies such as rice, cooking oil, chopped soybeans, fish, chicken, and canned meat.
