Pioneerspark plane crash unsurvivable - report

“The ATC watched the aircraft closely and noticed that before it reached the end of the runway, it banked sharply to the left, and then continued to roll to the left. He soon realised that the plane was out of control and was going to crash.”

According to the report, the aircraft was equipped with standard communication equipment and its occupants were in communication with the ATC at the airport.

“He rang the alarm to alert the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Services,” the report said.

“After the aircraft took off, a cloud of smoke could be observed on CCTV footage, which was consistent with the left engine failing. When the smoke appeared around the left engine, the plane tilted sharply to the left and crashed.”

Stuttering noises

According to the report, eyewitnesses close to the scene said they could hear the engine make “stuttering and backfiring noises” right before the plane fell.

“The left wing of the aircraft was pointing down 90 degrees, with the aircraft’s nose down, before it crashed into a residential neighbourhood [Pioneerspark],” the report, which further suggested that the aircraft’s nose section first hit trees in one of the yards, read.

The impact allegedly caused the plane to flip sideways and plow through two fences and a wall.

The plane came to a stop in the corner of a second yard. Parts of the plane landed on top of one of the fences and blades of the left propeller were found about 200 metres away in another yard.

“The impact also caused fuel to spray from the left side of the plane into the street. When the plane broke through the first fence, it burst into flames.”
