Parking meters return in Windhoek

Motorists in Windhoek will be required to pay for parking spaces along certain roads as of tomorrow, the City of Windhoek announced.

"Keyplots Investments will start managing designated on-street parking spaces, effective tomorrow," the City explained.

"Rates will be charged for the Class A, B and C parking spots at N$8, N$5 and N$3 per hour, respectively. These rates will apply in these areas on Mondays to Fridays, from 06:00 to 18:00 and Saturdays from 06:00 to 14:00."

The on-street parking areas encompass Robert Mugabe Avenue, Julius Nyerere Street, Mandume Ndemufayo Avenue and Prof Mburumba Kerina Street, zoned in classes A, B and C.
