Ongwediva appoints contractor to renovate water tower
The Ongwediva Town Council has announced that a contractor has been appointed to renovate its water tower to improve the town's struggling water supply issues.
Ongwediva residents have struggled for weeks with an interrupted water supply after the council announced that the town is experiencing water distribution hiccups.
Following a thorough inspection of the town's water tank, the authorities announced that a contractor has been appointed to renovate the water installation that supplies water to the town and feeds the other towers within it.

Senior manager for planning and technical services, David Mulokoshi, confirmed the current status and stressed that the tower needs refurbishment, as it has been in operation for decades.
Mulokoshi explained that council decided to renovate the water facility to minimise further issues for the town’s residents.
Council spokesperson Ottilie Shingenge apologised to residents for the inconvenience and explained that the water distribution issue is caused by low-pressure flow into the towers.
