Nyambe tipped for QPR

Limba Mupetami
Brave Warriors ace defender Ryan Nyambe could become the first Namibian to ply his trade in the Championship League, with sources claiming that Queens Park Rangers FC (QPR) are interested in his services.

A local source close to Nyambe revealed that QPR are interested in the player, who was just recently released by Wigan Athletic after joining from Blackburn Rovers on a one-year contract.

Nyambe has had a tough season with struggling Wigan but has played about 33 times across all competitions, being deployed as a centre-back, right-back, left-back, and right wingback.

Lower standards

With this constant shuffling around, he wasn’t able to reach the standards he previously showed at Rovers.

With the latter squad, Nyambe played close to 201 matches after coming through their youth ranks and looked like a player who could go on to bigger things.

Nyambe did not confirm this news before going to print. The Namibian player is currently not in the country as the squad gears up for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Burundi.

He is believed to be finalising his wedding to long-term girlfriend Sidumi Ndhlela from Zimbabwe, which will take place in Spain.

About QPR

QPR is a professional football club based in Shepherd's Bush, West London, England. The team competes in the English Football League Championship, the second tier of the English football league system, and currently finds itself in 20th place in the Championship table.
