The Namibia Football Association (NFA) has announced that a second round of player registrations for football clubs in the country will be open from 15 to 12 February.

The association also reaffirmed that the registration will be done on the Fifa Connect system.

“Kindly be informed that the dates for registration and transfer of players are set as follows as per the NFA rules and regulations, Rule 30.7.

“Players registration will only be conducted through the Fifa Connect system,” the statement reads.

Guidelines

The clubs must upload a complete registration form for the players, even if they are amateurs.

A certified copy of the player's identification document has also been requested, or a certified birth certificate if the player happens to be under 17 years old.

For players who are not Namibian, a certified copy of a valid passport is to be uploaded to the system.

The association has also requested medical reports of players where applicable.

The player’s contracts are to be uploaded in cases where the player is contracted.

“In cases where the player was previously registered as an amateur, a clearance certificate from the player’s previous club has to be provided.

“In cases where a player is not a Namibian citizen or permanent resident, proof that the player is lawfully entitled to be employed in Namibia by the club that is submitting the registration has to be provided,” the NFA explained.

League to commence in February

The NFA also announced that the second leg of the Debmarine Namibia Premiership will kick off on 3 February.

Most of the football clubs are also scheduled to resume training next week.
